Bootable USB memorystick (DOS)

*Huom! If you want attempt install Operating System from the USB stick try next ones. *Multiboot or *Rufus

That lovely, lonely and safe text input command mode. Real and genuine MS-DOS startup disk replacement. More safe to update (flash) BIOS from motherboard or graphics card than Windows.


Required: HP Drivekey -program WIN98 Boot -folder -Windows 98 System Files

Copy all important files off from your USB memorystick as it will be formatted empty!

Extract win98boot.zip -into folder. → Run HPs program (HPUSBFW.EXE).

* Device -choose your USB stick drive * File system -choose FAT (FAT16) * Select Create DOS startup disk

*Click nappi and browse into extracted win98boot -folder. *Click Start button and program will start format process.

Att! Know your motherboard/laptop device BIOS boot order when attempting boot in to MS-DOS.


Couple basic DOS commands:

dir - Lists directory files and folders dir *.exe - Lists .exe -files of the directory cd.. - Move in directory up (backwards) cd Windows - Move in Windows - folder f: - Move to f - drive mkdir x - Create x -folder
